WMF Papua New Guinea serves rural communities in Papua New Guinea through evangelism, discipleship, and sustainable development. We are called to respond in obedience to the incarnational gospel of Jesus Christ – to enter into holistic relationship with communities and participate in His work of reconciliation and discipleship.
Our WMF Papua New Guinea team consists of seven core staff members each working in several different communities and coordinating or partnering with other volunteers. Our approach has been to go wherever the door is open, share the gospel with our lives and our words, and build deep sustainable relationships within each of the communities we have been blessed to engage with. God has blessed our team and multiplied our reach in the last two years, growing our impact from approximately 500 individuals to over 8000. Our staff engages in one-on-one and group discipleship, children and adult education programs, community mediation and reconciliation, trauma healing groups, prison ministry, hospital visitation, compassionate ministries to at risk persons, and economic and medical skills training and equipping programs. We are grateful for your prayers over our core team: Clemence Komnapi, Toby Rakur, Helen and Steven Lemeki, Anthonia James, Konji Luke, and Mary Grimm.
